Simon Berry

Simon Berry, has 31 years' experience as a developer and investor in the retail and leisure property market and from 2002 to present Simon has been M.D. of Life Property Ltd. Refer to Portfolio for further details. In 2004 Simon with a partner established Life Coffee Cafes Ltd as a Corporate Franchise Partner of Costa Ltd. The business was expanded to 16 trading stores with a pipeline before being successfully sold back to Whitbread in January 2015 - refer www.lifecoffeecafes.com.

In 2014 Simon signed a franchise for a Gym franchise with Anytime Fitness (the world's fastest growing gym chain with over 3,200 clubs worldwide and 150 clubs in the UK). Two clubs have been opened, first in the Poole development in August 2016 and the second club opened March 2018 in Weston-super-Mare within the 100,000 sq.ft. Phase 3 of Simon's development. Previously from 1997-2002 Simon was the Managing Director and Development Director of Xscape, the 500,000 sq ft urban entertainment centre incorporating real snow ice centres. From 1992 to 1997 Simon was a founding director of the property company Lanham Plc, which specialised in the development of retail warehouses, food stores and leisure parks. The company was successfully sold to Capital & Regional plc in 1997, when Simon developed the Xscape concept. 1987 to 1992 Private and Corporate developments with Conder Plc and others.

Alastair Bell

Alastair Bell, has 35 years’ experience as a developer in the commercial property market. Specialising for the last 20 years in the retail and leisure sector and developing in excess of 1.5 million square feet as Development Director of X-Leisure (Capital & Regional).

Alastair and Simon have worked together for over 3 decades at Life Property, Capital & Regional and previously at Conder plc.
